Our Client, based in Somerset requires a RAMS Engineer to work within their Engineering Team.

The successful Candidate will be required to assist in the planning and co-ordination of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) activities associated with project system assurance functions for the application of safety critical equipment.

RAMS activities will be co-ordinated against Company standards, the customer and legislative bodies from tender through to post-commissioning phases on projects, both in the UK and overseas. He/She will also undertake system assurance assessments (Safety Case) of current designs in suppport of existing contracts and for bids and proposals.

The ideal applicant will have professional experience and ideally an engineering qualification. Previous experience is required of producing some or all of the following: FFA, Common Cause Failure Analysis (CCFA), FMECA, Reliability Prediction, Maintainability Task Analysis, Reliability & Maintainability Demonstration Programmes (RMDP), Testability Analysis, Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Safety Cases.

Some experience of working in the rail industry would be a positive advantage.
